- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 chicken breasts
First Marination
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp green chili paste
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
Second Marination
- 3 tbsp mustard seed oil
- 1 tbsp kashmiri red chili powder
- ½ tsp green chili paste
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1 tsp black salt
- 1 tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp cardamom powder
- 1 tsp kasoori methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
- salt to taste
- Charcoal (optional, for smoking)
- Ghee (clarified butter)
Final Preparations
- 1 tbsp corn flour
- 2 tbsp oil
- onions (sliced)
- lettuce (sliced)
- freshly chopped coriander leaves (for garnish)
- butter (for sizzling)
Instructions
Preparation (Overnight)
- To make hung curd, place 1 cup yogurt in a cheesecloth or a fine sieve. Tie it into a bundle and let it drain overnight in the refrigerator.
First Marination
- Cut 2 chicken breasts into cubes and transfer them to a bowl.
- Add salt to taste, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tsp green chili paste, 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste, and 1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder. Mix well and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
Second Marination
- In a pan, heat 3 tbsp mustard seed oil over medium heat. Once hot, add 1 tbsp kashmiri red chili powder and sauté briefly. Transfer this mixture to a marination tray and add ½ tsp green chili paste, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp chaat masala, 1 tsp black salt, 1 tsp garam masala, ½ tsp cardamom powder, 1 tsp kasoori methi, salt to taste and the prepared hung yogurt. Mix everything until well combined.
- If desired, smoke the mixture with Charcoal and Ghee for about one minute for added flavor.
Combine Chicken Marination and Cook
- Add the marinated chicken cubes to the second marinade. Sprinkle in 1 tbsp corn flour, mix thoroughly, and let it sit for another 15 minutes.
- In a pan, heat about 2 tbsp oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken cubes one by one. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip the chicken and cover the pan for an additional 2-3 minutes until fully cooked.
Serve on a Sizzler Plate
